I drive Calibra turbo 95 model, when i got it 6-8 months ago, it was factroy as. First thing i instaled was boost gauge and turbo timer. gauge was showing me 4-5psi all the time and still does if i take off doggy bleed velve off. I took it to 3 mechanics and still no help, last one did full check up, all hoses are good, actuator good, turbo good…., they say it might be computer playin safety but not sure, anyone knows about this problem?

Answer:

Some Euro cars go into limp mode when aftermarket turbo timers and guages are installed. It can confuse the ecu so it goes into limp mode for safety reasons. Best answer i have.

Noticed this arvo that i have a rattle clingy chingy noise coming out of my car. (with windows down specially my side you can hear it most) Only when car is in gear and idoling.

Could this be my muffler / exzorst?

Answer:

Damn rattles are annoying and there sometimes impossible to find the source.

You’ll just have to keep trying to find where it’s eminating from – easier done than said, as these things tend to originate from somewhere no where near where they sound like they’re coming from…..

I’ve had a few on mine I’ve given up on.

I’ve also noticed the longer you have a certain car, the more noises you seem to pick up on, that were seemingly not there before

Answer:

I think that’s just normal oxidation that harder rubber and plastic bits get during wear n tear and exposure to the elements.

I use Meguires plastic/rubber polish on all those kinds of areas, including the big black side skirt down the bottom of the door sills, works a treat
