Question:
The Cali’s came out with 2 different 2.0L yeah? Which one is the better of the 2?
Reason i’m asking is that I can no longer get the Cam i want, and am considering just saving up for a 2.0L conversion.

for the c20xe there were the non-ecotechs from 91-94, they had the L shape rocker cover, they produced 110kw, the 95-97 ecotechs produced 100kws..
the 94 model had the L shape cover, but said ecotech on it.. it’s a fake ecotech..
then theres the c20let turbo, i think they were same all the way thru.. not sure tho.. got about 155kw methinks. then there was the 8v single 2l, that came only in the auto’s, had something like 80kw or something

Hi, I purchased a 94 model with this ecotech on the cover last year. It seems to have had oil pressure issues for some time. When I first bought it, I had to replace timing belt and drive belt as they both looked like they had never been done in its’ life, and have since done all three engine mounts due to someone previously bodgying up the gearbox mount and it snapped. (luckily gb selector seems to be ok) Recently oil has started to piss out everywhere and its making a horrible sound as if there is a bolt rattling around near the oil pump somewhere … I am trying to learn about these cars. Can someone please help me work out what the problem is?
